BABCOCK RANCH, (Aug. 8, 2024) – Babcock Ranch is going to the dogs with Paw-ty in the Park, celebrating the grand opening of Bark Park, the first of six adventure-themed parks in The PKWY. The pet party is Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and features pet-friendly activities, live entertainment, food, model home tours and raffle prizes.
Paw-ty in the Park is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends.
“We’re excited to debut Bark Park and its many amenities,” said Syd Kitson, chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners, the developer of America’s first solar-powered town. “We know the park will bring joy to pets and their people.”
With separate play areas for small and large dogs, Bark Park offers agility equipment, shade pavilions, watering stations, restrooms and a pet memorial.
Paw-ty in the Park features a DJ spinning top tunes, food trucks serving a variety of delicious dishes, plus prize drawings and pet-friendly fun and treats, including pup cups. The event kicks off The PKWY Adventure Series highlighting exploration, outdoor recreation, community connections and new home neighborhoods offering close-to-the park convenience and an array of lifestyles.
Nestled along a 3.5-mile meandering stretch of green space in MidTown, The PKWY spans 313 acres of Curry Creek Preserve.
Paw-ty in the Park’s self-guided model tours span 12 exciting neighborhoods with beautiful professionally decorated homes – and chances to win raffle prizes including an Amazon Echo Show, Sonos Move wireless speaker, Apple iPad, Apple Watch, Le Creuset cookware set and more. Registered guests will receive an entry slip booklet and can enjoy activities at Bark Park or hop in their car to start their self-guided tour. As guests visit designated model homes, entry slips can be dropped into corresponding bins for entries into the drawings.
Located in the MidTown and WestTown districts, distinctive new neighborhoods feature private on-site amenity for authentic lifestyles – from lakeside clubhouses and cabana buildings, resort-inspired pools and playgrounds to event lawns, fitness centers, courts for pickleball, tennis and bocce ball, golf and even water slides, beaches, restaurants, a lazy river and a neighborhood exclusively for 55+ active adults.
National and regional homebuilders in Babcock Ranch, Southwest Florida’s top-selling community, offer homes for families of all sizes in enclaves with inspiring settings overlooking large lakes, scenic nature preserves, golf greens and fairways and conservation areas. Available new homes include townhomes, condominiums, paired villas, coach homes and single-family homes in neighborhoods uniquely connected by dozens of miles of trails to Founder’s Square, schools, parks, resident amenities and more.
Emphasizing open main living spaces and lanais for outdoor living, the neighborhoods offer dozens of one- and two-story floor plans with two to six bedrooms and 1,269 to 4,272 square feet under air. Participating builders include Christopher Alan Homes, DiVosta, D.R. Horton, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Park Square Homes, Pulte Homes, Toll Brothers and William Ryan Homes.
Homebuyers don’t have to wait to enjoy Babcock Ranch’s nationally recognized lifestyle. Many of the neighborhoods also offer a variety of quick move-in homes, available for immediate closing.

The PKWY Adventure Series continues this fall with grand opening events for the next two parks: Hillcrest Park and The Lagoon. Perched atop an impressive hill, Hillcrest features a two-story observation tower showcasing scenic views, plus tall grassy mounds, hillside slides and climbing nets. With a fishing pier and floating docks adrift on 3.3 acres of water, The Lagoon is designed as a favorite fishing hole for catch-and-release fun.
Each of The PKWY’s six unique parks is designed with its own purpose and custom-built features to encourage exploration, play, exercise and time in nature. All parks include restrooms, shaded pavilions and parking and blend with new trails leading into the preserve.
The PKWY’s three additional parks include Bluebird Park and Palmetto Park, both planned to open later this year, and Explorers Park which is anticipated to open in early 2025.
Created by Kitson & Partners with the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand-in-hand, half of Babcock Ranch’s town’s footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district. Encompassing 18,000 acres, the town is planned for 19,500 residences and about 6,000,000 square feet of commercial space.
Babcock Ranch homebuilders offer more than 50 home designs and a choice of low-maintenance townhomes, coach homes and villas, traditional and custom single-family homes. Prices range from the upper-$200,000s to $4 million.
